Collection: December Birthstone Jewelry

December has three birthstones in the GIA guide: turquoise, tanzanite and zircon. Turquoise can be blue or green-blue; tanzanite runs from blue to violet. Zircon appears in several colors, including colorless. Those names refer to different gems, rather than three shades of the same stone.

This collection currently holds a Clover Turquoise Necklace and a Starlight Pavé White Zircon Ring. We do not have a tanzanite design in this edit. The December birthstone guide covers all three if you are choosing by gemstone first.

The Clover necklace has a four-leaf silhouette with turquoise beneath a clear crystal layer. It is the closer fit for someone who often wears a pendant and likes blue-green against a shirt or dress. Check its listed length and construction before ordering.

The Starlight ring brings white zircon into a slim pavé design. It gives you a December stone without requiring a blue palette, but you do need the right ring size. Keep turquoise away from cosmetics, lotions and strong heat, which can affect its appearance. Zircon can abrade if it rubs against harder materials, so store the ring separately. Neither stone belongs in a steam or ultrasonic cleaner. These are gemstone guidelines; a finished piece may include other materials or construction that call for gentler handling.
